USS Enterprise, NCC-1701-D. USS Defiant, NX-74205. USS Cerritos, NCC-75567. If you’re a veteran fan of the Star Trek franchise – and if you’re playingStar Trek Online, you probably are – these numbers and letters mean a lot to you. Which is why it’s important that the game has opened Athan Prime’s Fleet Museum (originally seen in Star Trek: Picard) as a chance for players to head out and admire these ships of the line. Does it makeperfect sense in-universe for some of them to be there? No. Are these still ships you want to see there? Absolutely.
The game’s latest patch on PC and console also updates the EMH bridge officer’s appearance to more closely match his updated appearance rather than his older model, as well as fixing some sound effects and rebalancing the Narada Miracle Worker Juggernaut and Salcombe Intel Escort. They’re not huge changes, but they’re still significant enough to merit the update, and hey, at least you can enjoy the improvements while checking out some vintage ships.
