We still don’t know for sure when the 2-D pixel art MMOARPGDrakantos will be making its early access release, but we can say for certain that developer Wingeon Studios has been hard at work continuing to refine the game, as its latest development log outlines.
First off is another refinement to the game’s recently added free movement, as players will now be able to precisely aim certain abilities that have the player character facing forward to cast them. On the subject of control, the devs are working on improving gamepad support in order to make combat and movement more intuitive and smoother.
The devs have also confirmed updates made to relics, removing their limited charges and instead having their use draw from the regularly regenerating focus resource. Other major additions include the completion of the auction house to allow for trading among players and the ability to create custom PvP games and two new PvP maps, along with HUD updates, the ability to change the color of abilities, and completion of the mail system.
Last but certainly not least is word that future development is focused entirely on getting the MMO to early access, with no more tests planned between now and whenever that may be. So the next time this one opens up for play, it will bein its mostly-developed state.
