
It’s a tale of two progression servers for the two version of Daybreak’s seminal MMORPGs, asEverQuest has opened yet another time-locked progression (TLP) server and EverQuest II is starting beta testing for an expansion’s opening on the Origins server.
We’ll begin withLethar, the second TLP server for the oldie sandboxthat has officially opened this week. The server will launch with the Serpent’s Spire expansion available and a level cap of 75, with the Buried Sea expansion unlocking 12 weeks later and future expansions arriving every eight weeks after that. The server will also feature thepersonal loot system and allow legacy characters on the server to earn a small account-wide XP boost. Meanwhile inEQ1,a beta test for Shadow Odyssey’s arrival to the Origins progression server is underway, with all of its related abilities, items, encounters, and quests. The beta will be available between now and Tuesday, September 8th, with instructions on how to access the build and other important details provided on the announcement page.
