Sand: Raiders of Sophie adds a Threat mechanic with its newest update

I said THERE

Would you like it to be known that when you start up a match inSand: Raiders of Sophie that you are a dangerous person and should be regarded as such? The good news is that the game’s latest patch lets you be known as just that. Specifically, it adds the Threat mechanic. A crew that has destroyed two tramplers (in solo expeditions) or three tramplers (in all other forms) will be marked as a Threat, and any tramplers that crew has or captures will be marked and visible to all players.

How can you avoid being seen as a Threat? Well, you lose all your tramplers, or you use a radio in the municipality building… or you extract, that’ll work too. This goes hand-in-hand with changes to matchmaking that should pair new players with other new players and a variety of bug fixes, so the most dangerous players can look forward to having a wanted mark over their heads. Whether or not this is a mark of pride or of shame will be up to the individual player. But hey, at least your threatening status is noted.
