PvP MMO Profane eyes the second half of September for its next playtest

The last time we checked in with Profane, the upcoming PvP MMO had cut its May playtest short due to a proliferation of “annoying bugs” that demanded the cessation of the run. Now, developer Insane Studios has regrouped and is preparing a new playtest for sometime later this month.

“Mark your calendars: our next playtest is scheduled for the second half of September! We are fine-tuning the final details and will confirm the exact date soon, but the wait will be worth it,” the studio’s devs said. So we guess that “mark your calendars” in this sense means “draw a huge squiggly circle over half an entire month,” but just roll with it.

The September playtest will be marked by a new build that includes its first artifact called Necrostone armor, the swamp biome, a bandit cave encounter, more houses, UI improvements, balance tweaks, and additional combat playstyles. Specific dates and patch notes are forthcoming.
