In a tough year marked by layoffs for Marvel Snap, studio Second Dinner hopes to give the community a big win by adding one of the most requested features to the collectable card game: a draft mode.
This limited time mode came into the game’s orbit this week: “It’s Marvel Snap meets draft-style deck building, meets roguelike style upgrades! Marvel Snap draft does not depend on your collection – you can draft from any available cards in the mode. Then, you get to flex your skills and adjust on the fly with augments that add cool abilities, or leverage stat boosts that help you fight for priority.”
The studio said that this mode “levels the playing field” between veterans and newbies, although it will require the purchase of tickets when your supply of free ones runs out. The first run of the draft mode will be in the game through September 8th and then periodically return after that date.
To celebrate draft mode, Marvel Snap is giving everyone five complete decks as login bonuses over the next two months.
